"Sobrang overwhelming. Salamat sa mga pumunta at nagbigay ng oras para dito. Sobrang memorable ng 18th birthday ko," Kathryn told the press after the program.

All accounted for

Kathryn was of course escorted by on screen partner and special friend Daniel Padilla, whose family was also present.

The Padillas came out in full force. Daniel's parents, Rommel Padilla and Karla Estrada and his siblings; as well as BB Gandanghari, Robin Padilla and wife Mariel Rodriguez attended the debut.

"Yung buong pamilya ko pumunta, pati sila Tito Robin, Tita BB, Tita Mariel, thank you for coming dahil si Kathryn sobrang natuwa. Crush niya kasi si Tito Robin," Daniel said.

Daniel serenaded Kathryn with the song "Till I Met You." He also looked playful when he presented her one of the 18 Roses.

Playful Daniel

"Dati pinapanuod lang kita sa "Super Inggo" at "Goin' Bulilit," ngayon partner na kita, nakakatuwa," Daniel told Kathryn.

The Kapamilya teen actor seems to have the approval of Kathryn's dad Teddy.

"To Daniel, so far, so good. Thank you Daniel for looking after her. Sabi nga ni Chichay, thank you po,"  Teddy said on stage.

No rush

Although  she has turned 18, Kathryn wants to take things slowly, especially when it comes to a romantic relationship.

"Sabi nga niya (Daddy), 'So far, so good.' Marami pang time si DJ para maging good shot siya forever. As long as okay naman ang intentions ni DJ, walang problema," she said.

Her parents want her to "stay sweet and humble."

Star-studded

The star-studded birthday affair was attended by Kathyn's family and friends in showbiz, including Julia Montes, Gretchen Barretto, Carmina Villarroel, Ian Veneracion, Dominic Ochoa, Enrique Gil, Dominic Roque, Diego Loyzaga, JC De Vera, Khalil Ramos and Kapuso actress Marian Rivera.

Marian, who was part of the 18 Candles, worked with Kathryn in GMA's teleserye "Endless Love."
