Beyoncé Knowles' new fragrance will capture the "inner strength" of women.
The 32-year-old singer is set to release her third scent Beyoncé Rise in early 2014.
This product comes after her first perfume Heat launched in 2010, designed to reflect Beyoncé's sensuality. It was followed by an onstage persona perfume called Pulse.
Marsha Brooks is the vice president of global marketing for fragrances in the Coty Beauty division of Coty Inc., which holds the license for the musician's beauty business.
She believes Beyoncé's new offering is the most intimate of all her perfumes.
"The fragrance concept is a about female empowerment and finding the inner strength that makes women so beautiful. [There is a strong sense of] overcoming adversity and rising above it all," Marsha explained to WWD.
"We getting a little bit more intimate and personal with this next initiative we are doing. The time has come for something more natural and emotional."
She also revealed the aromas were influenced by a Maya Angelou poem Beyoncé is a fan of.
Developed by Loc Dong of International Flavors & Fragrances the popstar's odour is said to have an "intoxicating, addictive luminous floral" feel.
The main smell in Rise is gold symphony orchid, which was mixed with golden apricot and jasmine to give a seductive finish.
Beneath all this rests a fall woods base with a hint of cashmere musk and vetiver extract.
"[Beyoncé] has done a lot of fruity florals," Marsha added. "She's done gourmands. Pulse was this electric citrus-y floral. This is sexy and sophisticated. We tested it in multiple countries with excellent results."
The bottle was designed by Ken Hirst to reflect "ascension, melody and emotion", with secondary packaging created by Chad Lavigne.© Cover Media
