Billy Crawford arrested for ‘malicious mischief’
“It’s Showtime” host Billy Crawford has been detained at the Taguig Police Station 7 since the morning of Sunday, September 7, after he allegedly punched a female desk officer and caused commotion inside the police station.
A “GMA News TV Live” report said Billy and an unidentified woman went to the police station to file a complaint. Told that he will be brought to headquarters, Billy allegedly lost his cool.

“Dumating sa presinto si Crawford kasama ang isang babae pasado alas kwatro ng madaling araw para humingi ng tulong. Pero nung sinabi na ihahatid siya sa headquarters, bigla umanong nagwala ang actor at sinuntok ang desk officer na babae. Bukod pa dito, sinuntok pa umano ni Crawford ang glass door ng presinto kaya inaresto siya ng mga police,” the report said.
Billy is facing a complaint for malicious mischief. ALV Management, Billy’s talent management company, has yet to release a statement about the incident.
Billy’s girlfriend Coleen Garcia, his date in the 8th Star Magic Ball at the Makati Shangri-la on the night of Saturday, September 8, took to social media to defend her boyfriend.
“Hi! Pls stop spreading lies. You and I both know that Billy didn't punch anyone last night. I doubt that he would ever hit a woman,” Coleen's tweet to GMA’s Twitter account read.
Coleen also denied reports that Billy was with an unidentified woman.
“As for the "unidentified woman" he was with? He was with 3 of my best friends. And yes, 2 of them are women. No need to put malice in that.”
