British pop band Blur has revealed new dates as part of a mid-year tour of Australia, ramping up its live commitments for the year.

The band which, outside of Australia, has just four live shows scheduled for 2015, has added shows in Sydney, Byron Bay, Melbourne and Perth to its agenda.

The four-piece will now play at Sydney's Qantas Credit Union Arena on July 25, followed by Byron Bay for the previously announced Splendour in the Grass fest, then two final shows -- at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena on July 21 and Perth Arena on July 30.

Blur has already locked in appearances at the Isle of Wight Festival (June 13), London's Hyde Park (June 20), Super Bock Super Rock (July 17) and Benicassim Festival (July 18).

The band's latest album "The Magic Whip" debuted online earlier this week ahead of its April 27 release date.
