'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare': Kevin Spacey joined by 'Treme,' 'Heroes,' 'Teen Titans' actors

The cast list for November video game "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" has been posted to IMDb, with antagonist-in-chief Kevin Spacey joined by the likes of Troy Baker ("BioShock Infinite"), Gideon Emery ("Teen Wolf") and Matt Riedy ("Jimmy Kimmel Live!").

Stopping Spacey's war-mongering character is to form the focus of players' attentions, so perhaps it's appropriate that he should not be overshadowed by fellow actors.

Still, Troy Baker has emerged as a dependable voice actor and motion capture specialist in video game circles, having become the lead male in tentpole titles "Infamous: Second Son," "The Last of Us," and "BioShock Infinite" in recent years. For "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare," he's to be main player character Mitchell, a soldier who's part of Irons' private military firm.

Alongside him is Gideon Emery of TV series "Teen Wolf" and "Star Wars: Clone Wars." He played the smart-talking, mechanized main character Sam Gideon of sci-fi action game "Vanquish," so there's a touch of déjà vu in his casting as a secondary main character called Gideon in the futuristic "Advanced Warfare."

The rest of the cast is a mixture of actors with a good amount of video game experience and ones who come purely from film and TV roles.

Paul Telfer, who was part of the main cast of British series "Hotel Babylon" and has appeared in "The Vampire Diaries" and "NCIS," is the son of Spacey's Jonathon Irons.

Russell Richardson of "Tigerland" and "The Rookie" is another new addition to the production side of video games and plays a character called Cormack, as is Angela Gots -- Ilana in "Advanced Warfare" -- who comes from time on the sets of "Sleeper Cell," "L Word" and the rebooted "90210."

Others have dabbled in the world of video game acting, and with early footage from "Advanced Warfare" boasting some impressive CGI facial animation, it's appropriate that comedian and bodybuilder Matt Riedy is on board as a character named Kingpin: he played a side character in the meticulously motion captured detective adventure "L.A. Noire," though remains better known for TV time on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and Nickelodeon's "Big Time Rush."

Other TV actors listed include Khary Payton as Knox ("Teen Titans," "Young Justice," "General Hospital"), Jeremy Kent Jackson as Joker (Disney XD's "Lab Rats") and a couple of "Heroes" alumni. Ade M'Cormack, in "Advanced Warfare" as a character named Ajani, appeared in "Lost," "Heroes" and "24" and helped out with "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," while Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine was also seen in "Heroes" as well as David Simon's "Treme."

The debut trailer for "Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare" insinuated that action would take place in both California, USA, and the Nigerian capital of Lagos. Announced for a November 4 debut, the game is confirmed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Windows PCs.
