Cate Blanchett to be honored at MoMa's 2015 Film Benefit

Cate Blanchett will be recognized for her cinematic contributions at the upcoming Museum of Modern Art film benefit.

Blanchett joins an elite group of actors and filmmakers who’ve been distinguished with honors by MoMa that includes Alfonso Cuarón, Tilda Swinton, Quentin Tarantino, Pedro Almodóvar, Kathryn Bigelow, Tim Burton, and Baz Luhrmann.

Blanchett won the Oscar for best actress at the 2013 Academy Awards for her role in Woody Allen’s film “Jasmine” and has starred in seven Oscar-nominated films.

Her next highly anticipated projects include “Carol” and “Truth.”

The eighth edition of the MoMA’s 2015 Film Benefit takes place November 17.
