Chito Miranda mum on wedding date
Parokya ni Edgar lead vocalist Chito Miranda would rather talk about his band and its music instead of his love life.
"Bago pa ako magpropose (to fiancée Neri Naig), I already had (wedding) plans. But I'd rather not talk about it," Chito told reporters at Yahoo Celebrity Awards on Friday, July 18, where Parokya ni Edgar was named Favorite Band of the Year.
Wedding date
He was also evasive about his wedding date.
"Hopefully within this lifetime," Chito said in jest.
He shared, however, that he and Neri have been preparing for their wedding for more than a year now.
"Ang corny kasi, whenever I see celebrities talk about their love life. I find it corny. So I don't wanna be part of that."
Proposal video
The public seems to have forgotten the couple’s video scandal as netizens went abuzz over Chito’s sweet proposal video months back. Chito set Neri up in a fake music video shoot last May and staged his proposal.
"I was pressured into doing it. I watched lots of proposal videos and I wanted to try na i-top yung mga ganoon and I came up with it. I appreciate na na-appreciate mg mga tao, especially my fiancee," he said.
Wife material
Chito added, "I wouldn't marry her if she isn't (wife material). Sobrang jackpot talaga ako. I feel so blessed to have someone like her."
Chito feels grateful that fans continue to support Parokya ni Edgar since it was formed 20 years ago.
”We are very thankful to those who voted for us. Being in the band for 20 years and we still get awards. Thank you for supporting the local music scene, sa lahat ng banda na tumutugtog ng OPM."
