Christian Still Hot In Indonesia

MANILA, Philippines -- Christian Bautista's camp is in talks with TV, movie and concert producers in Indonesia for possible projects in that country.

"We are now looking for more avenues in Indonesia to spread out our career there," he told Bulletin Entertainment in an exclusive interview.

The singer-actor ended 2012 with a bang by wrapping up a promo tour in Indonesia for his song "Beautiful To Me," even performing in several TV shows in Jakarta.

"I'm glad that the song was well received. I even added some Bahasa Indonesia lines to the chorus parts to make it more exciting and easy for them to understand and appreciate," he said.

The Asia's Romantic Balladeer is also proud to have been part of "Indonesia Mencari Bakat" or "Indonesia's Got Talent" for the second time as guest judge.

With his blooming international career, we asked Christian if he feels more popular in Indonesia than in the Philippines.

He said: "I would not compare my popularity in Indonesia and in the Philippines because they are different in status. In Indonesia, I'm considered as a foreign artist. In the Philippines, I'm a homegrown local artist. The treatment is different but I don't think it should be compared."

Christian is just thankful that he was able to receive respect from and appreciation by local and foreign fans, which serves as his driving force to explore more facets in his career.

"And if other doors are opened to other countries then I would gladly take the step towards a new challenge."
