'CSI: Miami' alum Eva LaRue to join cast of "Fuller House"

After solving grisly crimes on “CSI: Miami,” actress Eva LaRue will be taking on a decidedly lighter role as the new wife of Danny Tanner in the Netflix production of “Fuller House.”

LaRue, who will play the role of Teri opposite Bob Saget, announced the news on Twitter.

The 13-episode series is set to premiere on Netflix in 2016 and will center on DJ Tanner-Fuller, played by Candace Cameron Bure, a recently widowed mother pregnant with her third child who turns to her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and best friend Kimmy (Andrea Barber) for help.

LaRue is also known for her role on the soap opera "All My Children."
