Director GB Sampedro and Daiana Menezes may have broken up two years ago. But that doesn’t mean the former has stopped caring for the Brazilian model, who has been reported to be suffering from domestic violence.

“Nakalulungkot ang nangyari sa  kanila. Sana maayos na nila 'yon at maganda ang magiging resulta,” Sampedro said after the presscon where fellow Backroom talent Bianca Gonzalez talked about her new endorsement for Betadine Feminine Wash.

Sampedro says he hasn’t seen or communicated with Daiana since they parted ways. But since he knows her to be brave, GB is confident Daiana will weather this latest personal crisis.

He also hopes for a swift end to the issue since delay only gives rise to many speculations.

“Ang daming haka-haka. Ang daming nauungkat na problema nila sa publiko. Sana maayos na nila ito internally.”

It will be recalled that Daiana attracted a lot of concern when she posted a photo of a bruised arm with some cuts, and added cryptic messages about domestic violence in her Instagram account.

Daiana’s husband, former Cagayan de Oro Rep. Benjo Benaldo, later on said in an official statement that they are trying to fix whatever problem they have. Daiana later apologized for her posts and said that she has never been subject to domestic violence.
