Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are reportedly planning to renew their wedding vows in Bermuda.
The Hollywood stars will have been married for 12 years in November and have been through a lot. Michael was diagnosed with stage four throat cancer in 2010 but has now recovered.
The pair had planned to reaffirm their vows to mark their tenth anniversary, but decided to wait until the time felt right. They have now reportedly decided to hold the ceremony this year.
“Catherine and Michael are planning a private ceremony at their home in Bermuda over Christmas with their children, parents and a few select friends,” a source told National Enquirer.
“They’re all incredibly excited. Michael still has to get monthly check-ups but he believes the worst is behind him. He’s so thankful to be alive and have Catherine at his side.”
The couple have 12-year-old son Dylan and daughter Carys, nine.
The whole family can’t wait for the ceremony as they see it as a way for them to move on.
“This is a happy time in their lives and they’re both looking forward to a new beginning,” the insider said. “Hopefully, they’ll get to spend many more years together.”© Cover Media
