Enzo and Tim recognize the power of social media

Enzo Pineda knows that social media is a two-edged sword.  He knows that it can build and destroy reputations and careers.  That’s why the “Star Struck V” alumnus makes it a point to stay away from tweets that bring people down.

“I have to be responsible for what I tweet. I know people look up to celebrities and want to be like them,” he said at the launch of MEGA Publishing Group’s new websites.

Enzo hosted the event at the newly-opened Prive club at the Fort Strip together with Divine Lee.

The Kapuso actor revealed that he gets 50 percent of his news on TV and the other  half online.  So he knows the value of social media in being updated with the latest news.

Tim Yap, who was proclaimed Star of the Night along with Bianca Gonzales and Charina Sarte also recognizes the power of social media.

“People should not be threatened by social media,” he says. “It’s a good tool for sharing information.”

Tim reveals that his Twitter account got hacked, so he had to change his password. Now, he aims to lead a “balanced online and offline life.”

Also spotted at the MEGA Publishing bash were celebrities like Phoemela Baranda, Ervic Vijandre, Frencheska Farr, Rocco Nacino, Nadine Samonte, Mikael Diaz, P Jon Avila, Victor Basa, Lance Raymundo and others.
