European hotel prices on the rise from March to April

As the weather grows warmer across the European continent, hotel prices are beginning to climb. Travelers in European destinations will pay more for accommodations this month than they did in March, according to the latest Trivago-Relaxnews hotel price index. In Prague, for example, the average price per night for a double room increased by 43%, reaching €116. Prices in Rome are up 39% compared to last month (€169).

Venice (+38%), Amsterdam (+28%), Istanbul (+20%) and Lisbon (+24%) also revealed an upward trend since March. Following a 7% rise, hotel prices in London have reached the €200 mark.

Among the destinations to show a significant decrease this month is Geneva (-8%), where travelers can now count on paying €254 per night.
