‘G.I.Joe 2' Director John Chu highly compliments Lee Byung-heon's acting
Director John Chu talked about Lee Byung-heon's great acting.
On 12th (local time), Asia Press Day Event of movie 'G.I.Joe 2' 3D took place at Hong Kong Grand Hyatt Hotel, and director John Chu highly complimented Lee Byung-heon's amazing acting.
John Chu said, "There was a 1minute long scene where Storm Shadow shows a very emotional monolog. After shooting the scene, all of the staffs started looking at him differently."
The shooting took place without any cut, and director Chu told that Lee Byung-heon showed amazingly sophisticated acting.
Especially, director Chu chose the scene as one of the best scenes in the whole movie.
He said, "Lee Byung-heon showed amazing sophistication in expression. The scene looks even better in 3D, and the audience will be able to feel much more than what 2D gives."
He continued, "He's also good in actions, but more than anything, he shows a great understanding in each characters. I was very impressed by how much depth he gave to the movie."
He also said, "Lee Byung-heon changed general impressions about foreign actors that Hollywood movie scene had. He pioneered a way for other Asian actors in Hollywood, and he totally changed the culture in Hollywood. He showed potential of other Asian actors, and thus, making them to stand much better chances."
On the other hand, movie 'G.I.Joe 2' will be released in March, 2013.
