Genelyn hurt over Ramona’s inclusion in Interpol's wanted list

(UPDATE) Genelyn Magsaysay, mother of slain actor Ramgen Revilla, feels hurt for the inclusion of daughter Ramona Revilla in Interpol’s (International Criminal Police Organization) Red Notice list, but said her daughter will return to the Philippines at the right time.

According to the organization’s website, a Red Notice seeks “the arrest or provisional arrest of wanted persons with a view to extradition.”

In an interview on “The Buzz” on Sunday, March 4, Genelyn pointed out that Ramona should not be in the Interpol list because it didn’t go through the right process. Ramona left the country in November after being implicated in Ramgen’s murder.

Her son, Ramon Joseph is also a suspect and was arrested by Paranaque Police.

Genelyn revealed that she talked to Ramona weeks ago. Her daughter, she added, is coordinating with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Turkey.

Same fate

She fears Ramona will suffer the same fate as Ramon Joseph.

Does Genelyn want Ramona to return to the country?

“Sa tamang panahon. Alam po yan ni Ramona,” Genelyn replied.

She claimed that Ramona did nothing wrong that she needs a chance to defend herself.

Genelyn said Ramona wants her to be strong for their family.

“Sabi niya, ‘Mommy, you have to be strong for us para pati kami ay strong rin na lumalaban.’ Sabi ko, ‘Anak, oo, I’m strong because I’m with the Lord,’” Genelyn recalled.

Disappointed

She also expressed disappointment over negative comments about her family. She asked the public to refrain from judging and condemning their family.
