Gerald says mom and Maja get along
"Okay naman sila, steady."
Thus did Gerald Anderson describe the relationship between his mother Evangeline Opsima and girlfriend Maja Salvador.
"They're doing good. Sobrang happy ako. Sobrang blessed ko na lahat ng parte ng buhay is coming together and it’s a journey." Gerald added in an interview at the press conference of ABS-CBN's newest teleserye "Dyesebel."
No meddling
Gerald's mom said in a phone patch interview on "Buzz ng Bayan" last March 9 that she doesn't meddle with her son's love life, but wants him to "be careful." Because of this, rumors that not all is well between Gerald's mom and Maja, cropped up.
Gerald explained that his mom is strong and opinionated, but she definitely has no problems with Maja. The two ladies have already met each other.
"Yung nanay ko, siguro alam ng lahat na ganoon talaga siya. Napaka-strong niya at ganoon talaga siya magsalita, pero hindi naman siya nakikialam," Gerald told the press.
Close to Kim Chiu
Gerald didn't deny that his mom really became close to his ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu, but stressed that their relationship should not be compared with that of Maja.
"Gustong-gusto niya si Kim kasi si Kim napakabait na tao and sobrang naging close sila. Hindi magbabago iyon," he said.
If a problem occurs between his girlfriend and his loved ones, Gerald said that he will try his best to fix it and make everyone happy.
"At the end of the day, kailangan masaya lahat. Kung hindi, ibig sabihin may mali talaga. Ako bilang lalaki, kailangang hanapin ko yung mali at gawing tama."
