Gerald rates himself an '8' as Sarah’s friend

The screams at the Araneta Coliseum were deafening when Gerald Anderson held birthday girl Sarah Geronimo’s hands and sang “It Might Be You”  with her.  The shrieks got even louder as they walked together towards the patron section so Sarah can thank those who flocked to see her show.

Now, people – especially the AshRalds (Sarah Geronimo-Gerald Anderson fans) are asking: Was Gerald as tickled pink as they were when they held hands while walking on stage during Sarah’s recent 24/SG show?

“Kinilig ako kasabay ng buong Araneta,” answered a still-perspiring Gerald after he  played basketball with the Boys Home Team of Manila Boys’ Town.

“I was just there to show my support as a friend,” Gerald adds.

As a friend, the guy who has been courting Sarah for the past six months says he rates himself an eight (with 10 as the highest).

“Gusto ko nga sana 10,” Gerald admits.

To get there (or even further),  he gives his “Baby Girl” (Gerald’s term of endearment for Sarah)  things he believes will make her smile.  Gerald gave Sarah a pair of shoes for her birthday since “mahilig ang mga babae doon.”

Freedom for Sarah

More than material things, Gerald wants Sarah to have freedom “to make a stand, be independent and mature.”

“Bigay muna natin yon sa kanya before other things – like having a boyfriend,” Gerald pleads.

The other thing Gerald wants to do is to make children happy.

“Ang sarap ng pakiramdam!” he gushes.
