Gerard Butler describes 'humiliating' Cannes snub

Gerard Butler has described one of his "most humiliating experiences" at Cannes over the weekend.

The Hollywood star was in attendance at the star-studded Carnival in Cannes Gala for Haitian Relief on Friday night. Gerard was brought onstage by filmmaker Paul Haggis, who included tea with the actor as part of a big prize - a Golden Globe weekend pass.

The final bidder ended up buying the impressive package for more than $125,000, but insisted that he didn't want Gerard as part of the prize.

The star laughed off the snub, and says it was all in good fun.

"I know the guy that bought it, he didn't need to buy tea with me," he laughed to USA Today. "No one has the ability to make a fool of me like Paul Haggis. He makes me come up and stand on stage. He makes me feel like an idiot. I think most of my most humiliating experiences in my whole career have been caused by Paul Haggis. He pimps me out."

"I put up with it because it's for a good cause."

The auction raised more than $2million for the relief cause in the earthquake-torn country.

Gerard is starring in White House Taken, playing a Secret Service agent protecting the President from an imminent attack. The 42-year-old star has vowed to get in shape for his big screen outing.

"It's a Lethal Weapon/Die Hard unapologetic action movie," he explained. "I just kind of started, I don't want to get too big. But definitely more cut."

Beyonce’s #Flawless image is embroiled in controversy once again. On Wednesday, a web site called The Beyonce World leaked 224 allegedly raw photos of the musician. The images showed Bey in full makeup for the 2013 L’Oreal ad campaign — but with the kinds of “imperfections” we all have — beauty marks, bumps, creases. In the wake of Cindy Crawford’s unretouched photos, the images have been praised by critics of a beauty industry that sets impossibly high standards, standards that Queen Bey …
