He sleeps! German Moreno on ‘walang tulugan’

Sorry to disappoint you but unlike his late-night variety show’s title, Mastershowman German Moreno gets some sleep just like any other mortals.
Philippines OMG!.

But Kuya Germs—as showbiz calls him—reveals one thing that makes him lack sleep.
Being in the industry for 50 long years, the hardworking star-maker says he functions on a five- to six-hour sleep.

After that, kapag inantok na ko,‘yun tuloy-tuloy na,” he shared.

Celebrities pay tribute to German Moreno as he celebrates his 50th anniversary in showbiz.

Retiring soon?

At 69, the Mastershowman has no plans to retire soon. He goes onboard on weekdays for his radio program aired over DZBB, and hosts “Walang Tulugan” every Saturday on GMA.
After his radio stint, he acts as consultant to GMA Films or Artist Center.
“If they need me and they will ask questions, sinasabi ko naman. Being a pioneer na in the industry [they want to hear my inputs]. Galing ako sa Sampaguita Pictures. Telebisyon matagal na rin. Entablado matagal na rin,” he said.
But how does Kuya Germs react when some people say his ideas are no longer relevant to modern times?
On discovering stars as long as he lives
Without a doubt, German Moreno has paved the way for some of the biggest stars in the industry like Sharon Cuneta, Dawn Zulueta, Zsa Zsa Padilla and many, many more.
Master showman German Moreno raises a plaque given to him by GMA Network, during his 50th anniversary in showbiz …But through its 16-year-run, “Walang Tulugan” has been breeding lesser-known stars, and its only “big discovery” to date is “Prince of Mall Shows” Jhake Vargas.
For Kuya Germs fame is nothing if there's no hard work involved.
They just come and go.
There's no stopping Kuya Germs. With God's grace, he promises to serve the entertainment industry for the sake of those who dream.

“God knows na in my prayers I always ask, ‘Kung inaakala mo na marami pa kong magagawa rito, dito muna ko.
