Heart Evangelista has no expectations for 2013

Heart Evangelista started the year with a breakup and closed it with a relationship. And as the girlfriend of Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero, the Kapuso star has a lot of things to be happy about, and her budding love life is “just a bonus.”

“I’m already so content with my life and I have a bonus pa, so masaya,” she told the entertainment media during the press conference for “Sosy Problems” recently.

Heart said this year has been good to her. “2012 was like a time na… (It’s) a change in my life na parang na-close ko yung chapter—which is exciting kasi when you turn one page, may next na papalit. So na-excite na ako.”

The “Sosy Problems” star is positive the following year can only be better.

“One thing I learned with changes in your life: it happens for a reason, for a good one, because God wouldn’t want anything else for you except good things.”

However, she has no specific expectations for 2013.

“I have no deadline,” Heart added.

Relationship getting serious?

She also applies her “no expectations” mentality in her relationship with Chiz, which she said is doing “very good.”

“I’ve known him (Chiz) now for seven months, almost eight, so I think it’s working for us na hindi namin tinatago. Mas pribado lang kumpara sa past ko. But I think it’s working for us.”

How is it to be in a relationship with a senator?

Surprisingly, Heart said she doesn’t feel Chiz is a senator.

“Kaya siguro pakiramdam ko, ‘Oo nga pala ano, senador siya.’Hindi siya nagbo-bodyguard, wala siyang entourage, hindi siya flashy, hindi siya magastos, hindi siya bumibili ng mga mamahaling bagay.”

Heart added it’s even Chiz who reminds her to stay grounded.

“Pag nakikita niya akong nagsho-shopping, sinasabi niya, ‘Don’t you feel bad?’” she narrated. “I mean, everything that I get from it is just making me better.”

And perhaps it also works both ways, as the senator attended the “Sosy Problems” premiere night on December 22 with Heart. This was after the two were seen together during the Chiz’s Christmas party for Senate reporters on December 12.

Is she already thinking about the possibility of becoming a politician’s wife?

“Oh my gosh, hindi ko iniisip yan,” Heart said. “I really have no expectations with anything. That’s what makes it better now, kasi I’m just really enjoying the moment.”

She reiterated that she has no deadlines as she now goes with the flow.

Still, Heart said her relationship with Chiz is a serious one.

“But it’s a very serious relationship and I really like the level that I’m in.”

‘Sosy’ is a mindset

As one of the main stars of “Sosy Problems,” GMA Films’ entry to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival, the entertainment press asked Heart if she’s like her character in the movie, “sosy”?

“Yes, I am,” she promptly answered.

But being “sosy” shouldn’t be a bad thing, the actress added.

“You really don’t have to be rich to be sosy. It’s just really a mentality and how you want to carry yourself. You enjoy life.”

“Sosy should be a good term. Sosy should be a happy-go-lucky, good vibes girl, wants to make friends, enjoy life.”

And Heart’s latest “sosy” problem: “Siguro, yung nag-doble yung regalo. Yung regalo ng mommy pumareho sa regalo ng kapatid ko na singsing. So sabi ko, “Paano ko isusuot ito, ipagpapatong ko? Ganun ba?’”

“Sosy Problems,” which also stars Rhian Ramos, Solenn Heussaff, and Bianca King, is now showing in theaters nationwide.
