Is Daniel willing to change religion for Kathryn?
Daniel Padilla respects Kathryn Bernardo's religious beliefs, but he would rather let nature take its course when it comes to having a relationship with her.
Kathryn, a member of the Iglesia ni Cristo church, said in a previous press conference that she can’t have a relationship with someone who does not belong to the same faith. This can be a problem for Daniel, who was born and raised a Catholic.
Is he willing to convert for Kathryn?
Wait and see
Daniel replied, "Sa future na lang po natin (mapapagdesisyunan iyan). Tignan na lang po natin kung anong pwedeng mangyayari sa future. Siguro hindi pa ako makakapag-decide ngayon. Pero siyempre open naman ako. Diyos pa rin iyon. Bakit naman aayawan."
Daniel thinks religion should not be an issue in relationships.
“Hindi issue iyon. Ano lang iyan, hindi tayo puwede magdesisyon ngayon."
At the press conference for his second major concert, "DOS: The Daniel Padilla Birthday Concert at the Big Dome," the young actor admitted he and Kathryn can’t take their friendship to the next level yet.
Special friendship
While Daniel is persistent in pursuing Kathryn, he is not in a rush to make their relationship official. Both enjoy their special friendship and feel no pressure about their relationship, even as fans want the young stars to become sweethearts.
"Wala ako doon sa hintay nang hintay. Ako kasi kung anong moment ngayon, doon lang ako. Ayaw ko nang minamadali ang mga bagay. Kasi kapag minamadali ang mga bagay, maraming mga hindi magandang nangyayari," he said.
Daniel shows his loyalty to Kathryn by not dating or pursuing other girls. Although he says Kathryn can entertain other guys, Daniel admits he is on the lookout for Kathryn potential admirers.
"Bakit ka pa manliligaw? Hindi na tama iyon. Binigay mo na ang sarili mo sa isang babae, bakit ka pa manliligaw?"
Second major concert
Daniel is preparing for his second major concert, which will be held at Smart Araneta Coliseum on April 30.
"Masaya at magkikita-kita tayo ulit ng mga supporters ko na hindi ko masyado nakikita. Excited talaga ako."
Daniel doesn't want to feel pressured about surpassing the success of his sold-out concert.
"Huwag na lang masyado mag-expect para hindi rin kayo ma-disappoint. Wala naman akong balak higitan iyon. Gagalingan ko na lang, pero maganda ito."
