Is Kim-Gerald reunion a threat for Xian?

Xian Lim and Kim Chiu

How does Xian Lim feel, now that Star Cinema revived the love team of Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson in “24/7 In Love” for Star Magic’s 20th anniversary?

Xian Lim doesn’t feel threatened at all. He’s even happy for Kim and Gerald.

“Lagi ko namang sinasabi na it’s a big event for Star Magic. I’m happy for them, I’m happy for Star Magic. It’s really big na lahat nagsama for this and it’s very successful,” Xian said in an interview.

He is glad Kim and Gerald’s reunion project is making Kimerald fans happy.  They’ve been waiting a long time for the love team to reunite, even on screen.

“Congratulations sa kanila. Congratulations na happy sila. All we want is for people to be happy. Pero I’m happy for them. I’m happy for their fans. Iyon naman talaga,” Xian added.

Tandem still there

Meanwhile, the Kim-Xian tandem, which started in “My Binondo Girl,” is intact, thanks to the ongoing  soap “Ina, Kapatid, Anak.”
Xian is happy fans continue to support them.

“Nakikita ko talaga na tuwang-tuwa sila just to see us or just to see the story unfold. So, it’s something na talagang tutok sila. I never expected (the big following). Nagsimula nga iyan sa JanDy (a combination of the names of Kim and Xian’s characters in `My Binondo Girl’), hanggang sa nag-evolve. Now, marami ng evolutions, marami ng groups, so I’m thankful,” Xian said.

Many have noticed that the onscreen chemistry between Xian and Kim has improved.  Xian thinks it’s because of the trust factor.

“I found out a lot of things na doon pa rin bumabagsak—sa trust. We trust each other, simula sa first soap ko hanggang sa ongoing soap, siya pa rin yung kasama ko. Meron ng special trust. At kapag magka-eksena kami, hindi niya ako pinababayaan.”
