IU donated 100 million KRW for children in financial difficulties.

On May 4th, a representative of Green Umbrella Children's Foundation said, "Vocalist IU donated 100 million KRW for children in financial difficulties."

The donated money will be used for many children that are fighting through financial difficulties due to various reasons.

After making the donation, IU said, "In Korea, the month of May is a very exciting month for many children who were lucky enough to be born with a relatively wealthy family background. They visit fun places with their parents, and also receive a lot of gifts. However, there are many children who cannot experience the same excitement in the other part of our society, and I wanted to offer them a small help."

Chairman Lee Je Hoon of Green Umbrella Children's Foundation said, "I would like to express sincere thanks to IU for remembering our children. We will make a wise use of the donated money."

Meanwhile, IU is playing in channel KBS 2TV's new drama 'Producer' these days. The drama will premiere on May 15th.
