Jack White to hit pause on live performances

Jack White

The former White Stripes frontman and current solo performer and record label head has issued an official statement saying that he will be ‘taking a break'.

White will this week perform at the second leg of the Coachella festival and still has a number of US acoustic dates to honor, but after those, he'll be exiting stage left for a prolonged period.

In a statement issued by his representatives, White said: "After many years of performing in a multitude of configurations, Jack White is announcing that he will be taking a break from performing live for a long period of time."
