Jada wants justice for alleged rape victim

Jada Pinkett Smith is calling for justice for a girl who was sexually assaulted and then mocked online.

The 42-year-old actress used #justiceforjada while standing up for the 16-year-old Houston girl who was the victim of an alleged rape that went viral with a cruel internet meme.

“This could be you, me, or any woman or girl that we know. What do we plan to do about this ugly epidemic? #justiceforjada,” the star wrote on her Facebook wall.

The mother-of-two included a link to a news article from The Daily Beast chronicling a television interview in which the teenage victim says she was slipped a drink she believes was spiked before she was unclothed, assaulted, videotaped, and her limp, unconscious body put in poses and photographed.

The media was then posted on the internet for the world to see, sparking the use of an exploitative meme using the hashtag #jadapose, in which people attempted to recreate the lifeless images with their own bodies.

“I had no control. I didn’t tell anyone to take off my clothes and do what they did to me,” the girl told KHOU11 News.

“Everybody knows,” she said. “And everybody’s texting me, ‘Are you okay? You’re going to be okay.’”

Jada Pinkett Smith isn’t the only star standing up for the teen.

Mia Farrow also called for justice, and implored parents to teach their children about the seriousness of sexual assault.

“Parents & teachers it's time to step up! Teach boys to respect each other and all girls and women #JusticeforJada,” she wrote.

The teenager meanwhile says she hopes coming forward to tell her story will help bring her alleged rapist to justice.

"There's no point in hiding,” she said. “Everybody has already seen my face and my body, but that’s not what I am and who I am.”

A police investigation is ongoing.

Beyonce’s #Flawless image is embroiled in controversy once again. On Wednesday, a web site called The Beyonce World leaked 224 allegedly raw photos of the musician. The images showed Bey in full makeup for the 2013 L’Oreal ad campaign — but with the kinds of “imperfections” we all have — beauty marks, bumps, creases. In the wake of Cindy Crawford’s unretouched photos, the images have been praised by critics of a beauty industry that sets impossibly high standards, standards that Queen Bey …
