Janice on John: No need to work together

Janice de Belen doesn’t feel she needs to work with former husband John Estrada, now that both of them are with ABS-CBN.

"Tama nang ganito na lang. I don’t feel the need to work with him. And I feel na it's better if we don't work together,” Janice told the press on the set of “Budoy” last October 5 at San Juan Gym.

Janice plays Gerald’s mother in “Budoy,” which will air on ABS-CBN starting October 10.

Janice and John have remained civil with each other for the sake of their children. However, their working relationship is a different story.

"My take on that is, should we work together again, hindi naman kami best friends. You need to have a good working relationship (with co-actors)," she added.

Their separation has already caused much talk and intrigues. Janice stressed that working together again will just create more buzz and hype.

"Kasi kapag nagwork kami together, there's going to be so much hype,” she said.

Aside from staying away from intrigues, Janice is also considering the feelings of John’s wife, Priscilla Meirelles, who is currently pregnant.

"I don't want to burden another person. I don't like that burden to be on his wife. I do not want to ever make her feel uncomfortable, even if it's just we’re working together,” Janice added.

But now that their children are grown up, they go to John directly when they need anything instead of coursing their requests to Janice.

"My kids are already big. Kung may kailangang sabihin, sila na. Noong maliliit pa ang mga anak ko, if there's something that needs to be talked about, we talk about it,” she said.

She added that it’s about time everyone puts a stop to intrigues about her working with John again.

"Dapat wala nang hype kasi luma na yung issue eh,” Janice explained.
