The UAAP (University Athletic Association of the Philippines) season may be over, but fans will still get to see more of this season’s MVP player Jeron Teng, who guests in various variety and talk shows. Just recently, he got his first acting stint in ABS-CBN’s primetime teleserye “Got to Believe.”

The De La Salle Green Archer starred in the Wednesday episode of the teleserye, which topbills Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo. Jeron plays Allen Chua, a star basketball player in Malaya University, where Chichay and Joaquin (Kathryn and Daniel) are students.

It was Jeron’s first time to act, but he was in his element because he was playing basketball in the scene where Chichay and Joaquin were watching him and other student athletes at the gym.

Before he appeared in “Got to Believe,” Jeron’s fans already went online to post messages about it. As a result, Jeron Teng trended on Twitter on Wednesday, October 23. Jeron also posted his photos with Kathryn, Daniel and “Got to Believe” director Cathy Garcia-Molina.

Daniel, Katrhyn and Jeron have already met before “Got to Believe.” This was during a  basketball tournament for “Princess and I.”

Jeron’s brother, UST Tigers’ Jeric Teng also tweeted about Jeron’s acting stint. Their sister Almira tweeted that it’s Jeron’s “first appearance in a TV series.”

While Jeron’s fans are happy and excited for his TV stint, others were not that happy over his short screen appearance. They hope Jeron will appear again and get longer screen exposure in the series’ next episodes.
