John Lloyd Cruz renews ABS-CBN contract

John Lloyd Cruz has decided to remain a Kapamilya. The actor signed a three-year contract with ABS-CBN on Thursday, January 22.

ABS-CBN executives Charo Santos-Concio, Malou Santos, Cory Vidanes and Mariole Alberto witnessed the contract signing.


When his contract expired last October, John Lloyd went on a short US vacation with girlfriend Angelica Panganiban to think things over.

‘Hindi na tayo bumabata’

The actor said in a previous interview that he wants to carefully plan his career.

"Hindi na tayo bumabata. Mas mabigat, hindi dahil mas mahirap sa kalooban. Kailangan mas maingat lang kasi you’re talking about the next two or three years of your life."

John Lloyd was considered for the upcoming teleserye "Bridges” starring Jericho Rosales and Maja Salvador, but his (John Lloyd) contract has not yet been  finalized when the casting as made.  Paulo Avelino has since been chosen to star in the teleserye.

John Lloyd currently stars in "Home Sweetie Home."
