PlayStation's "Journey" soundtrack on vinyl

In the realm of video games, the beautiful score by Austin Wintory for the PlayStation game "Journey" keeps defying stereotypes. The Grammy-nominated soundtrack is now going to be re-released on classic vinyl, production company iam8bit has announced.

The double LP, which is brought to life by live orchestra and featured soloists, also has an original album cover by Mark Englert. The scarf of Journey's hero, the Traveler, wraps around the album's perimeter for an eye-grabbing effect as it spins.

Pre-orders for the vinyl open on Thursday, April 23.
