The ongoing family feud has not changed Julia  Barretto’s opinion of her aunt, Claudine Barretto as an actress, The “Mirabella” lead actress still wants to follow in her aunt’s footsteps.

"I'm such a fan of tita Claudine's projects. Ang ganda ng mga teleserye niya. That's the kind of career I would like to follow," Julia said at the the press conference for ABS-CBN’s new series.

Positive thinking

Julia admits she still has not communicated again with Claudine, but hopes "everything will be okay" someday.

" For sure it will come. Positivity in the air," Julia said.

The teen actress has good words not just for Claudine but for Gretchen, whom Julia admires for being “fabulous.”

"The way she treats work, kahit pagod na, she still works hard. She's very mabait, very generous. Very religious siya, mahilig siyang magdasal," Julia observed.

Parental advice

Now that her debut teleserye will be launched soon, Julia’s father Dennis Padilla and mother Marjorie Barretto are very excited for her.

"Lagi niyang (Dennis) sinasabi na mahalin mo ang mga sumusuporta sa iyo kasi part sila ng journey mo. Magpasalamat ka sa kanila, kasi without them, you wouldn’t be where you are now. Yung mom ko naman, sinasabi niya na maging mabait ka sa lahat kasi you can be the best actress, pero kung masama naman ang ugali mo, wala kang mapupuntahan," Julia reveals.

Julia also has nothing but good words for costar Diego Loyzaga, who was initially reported as one of her leading men in the shelved teleserye "Cofradia." Diego plays the antagonist in "Mirabella."

Good guy

"Sabi ko, 'Alam mo Diego, bilib ako sa iyo dahil 'yan ang tatatak sa kanila, your willingness to be in the show. He is a good guy."
