Julia Montes’s birthday wish

Julia Montes

The preparations are lavish and  her guests are expected to be the most popular stars in showbiz.  But Julia Montes’ birthday wish when she turns 18 on March 19 is something money can’t buy. She wants to spend her special day with her German father.

Julia has never met her father, whom she believes lives in Australia. He and Julia’s mother, who is  deaf and mute like the actress’ dad, used to be pen pals.

Sana ma-meet ko siya in God’s time,” Julia told reporters during her birthday press conference in ABS-CBN compound on Thursday, March 14.

Julia knows it’s impossible for her father to attend her debut party this soon, but she hasn’t lost hope she’ll meet him  and share her success with him.

“Six days to go, medyo alanganin na siya pero hindi pa rin ako nawawalan ng hope. Magsa-start pa lang ang new chapter ng life ko.

How would she  react if her dad surprises her on her birthday?

Feeling ko buo na ako after that.

The Kapamilya actress added that that she  has limited news about her father, who is said to be sick.

“Wala po talaga akong balita. Yung last time na nakausap namin yung best friend ng dad ko, sabi may family na raw and may sakit daw. Hopefully now, kasi ilang years na rin, sana wala ng sakit,” Julia said.

Her debut, to be held at Fernwood Gardens in Quezon City, will have a  Midsummer Night’s Dream theme. Julia’s escort is her “Walang Hanggan” leading man Coco Martin.  Although Julia knows who most of her guests are, she’s in the dark about just what kind of surprises await her on her birthday.

Her close friends from showbiz and relatives will comprise Julia’s 18 Roses, 18 Treasures and 18 Tulips. Among the celebrities expected to attend are John Lloyd Cruz, Richard Gomez, Sam Milby, Paulo Avelino, Daniel Padilla, Enrique Gil, Dawn Zulueta, Kathryn Bernardo, Denise Laurel, Janice de Belen, and Susan Roces.

Even if she’s been in the limelight for years, Julia still feels uneasy at the thought that all eyes will be on her for her big day.

Julia admits turning 18 requires maturity and big responsibilities. And she looks forward to a new chapter in her life  and changes in her career.

Magresearch. Nachachallenge ko ang sarili ko and natututo ako from my directors.
