K-pop group joining 2NE1 in Manila concert

Filipino K-pop fans are in for a double treat as YG Entertainment’s newest male group Winner guests in the Manila leg of hip-hop band 2NE1’s “All or Nothing” concert on May 17 in Mall of Asia Arena.

 2NE1, composed of Sandara ‘Dara’ Park, CL, Bom and Minzy, first performed in Manila two years ago. The award-winning all-female pop band recently promoted its album, “Crush,” which includes its hit songs “Come Back Home,” “Crush” and “If I Were You.”

 After her group’s Manila tour was announced, Dara took to Twitter to inform BlackJacks, the group's Filipino fan club, about her return to Manila.

‘Sobrang special’

“Sa May 17 ang concert namin sa Manila. Sobrang special ang araw nay an dahil 5thanniversary ng 2ne1 ang may 17! Magcelebrate tayo,” Dara tweeted.

2NE1 kicked off its world tour in a two-night concert at Seoul’s SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium on March 1 and 2. Among the other cities the group has visited are Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing.

Winner is a five-member group which won the talent reality show “Who is Next: Win” in 2013. It is made up of Kang Seung Yoon, Song Minho, Nam Taehyun, Kim Jinwoo and Lee Seunghoon.

The group has joined 2NE1 in its Hong Kong and China concerts. While Winner hasn’t made its official debut, many people are anticipating the release of its first album. Wiiner,  which has performed in Big Bang and YG Family's concerts of in Japan, has its own reality show called “Winner TV.”
