K-Pop had a huge year in 2012

Psy and K-Pop are the second biggest things that happened in 2012 according to Billboard.

Billboard recently took a look back at the biggest music-related things that happened in 2012 in a feature titled, ‘The 20 Top Music Moments of 2012’.

All the way at number two, the title read, ‘Psy leads Year of K-Pop’, as the feature listed all the accomplishments of Psy and Gangnam Style this past year and wrote he and his song were “Truly inescapable in the second half of 2012.”

On top of Psy’s accomplishment, the same listing gave a shout out to some of the accomplishments of the Wonder Girls, Big Bang, 2NE1 and IU.

Psy and his fellow K-Pop acts placed higher on Billboard’s list than the likes of Taylor Swift, One Direction and Adele.

Making the number one spot on Billboard’s biggest music moments of the past year was the untimely passing of Whitney Houston.
