Karylle, Yael to get married in March
Another showbiz couple is set to walk down the aisle soon.
Karylle has just announced that she is set to get married to Yael Yuzon in March, after evading questions about their engangement.
The singer-TV host took "madlang people" by surprise with her announcement on noontime show It's Showtime" Saturday, February 8.
"Next month, we wed and the new chapter begins," Karylle said, adding that their journey as a couple started three years ago.
"Some three and a half years ago, a new chapter in my life started, the happiest and most exciting one yet. I started as a hurado here in 'Showtime' and I became part of the 'Showtime' family at kakambal po nito, dumating si Yael sa buhay ko," Karylle said.
"It was a sunny afternoon, guest pa ako dati sa "Pilipinas Win-Na-Win," and kumain kami sa Mister Kebab kasi mahilig po ako sa kanin. After that we had coffee. And sinagot ko siya," she added.
Karylle continued to get emotional as she thanked her fellow "It's Showtime" cohosts for making her a better person.
Anne showed her "to dream bigger," while Vice Ganda taught her to "laugh out loud," she said. Kim Atienza, on the other hand, acted as her "conscience" in her relationship with Yael.
"Kuya Kim told me that I'm a good friend but a high maintenance girlfriend. So tuwing inaaway ko si Yael, parang konsyensiya si Kuya Kim na naririnig ko. I just keep your words in mind and I tried to be a better person," Karylle said.
She also thanked her family and friends for helping her "reach the next level."
"I'm a work in progress but I know that everything I've been through happens for a reason," she said.
Her fellow cohosts expressed their excitement and happiness for Karylle. Netizens also cheered and congratulated Karylle and Yael in social media, making them a trending topic.
"We are so happy and so excited for your new chapter with Yael as one. You have no idea why you are loved. Naging totoo ka sa amin Kaye and you are a dear friend to each and of us," Billy told Karylle.
