Teen actress Kathryn Bernardo is taking on a new career challenge—that of being a recording artist.

Kathryn released her self-titled debut album, which includes the song "Na Sa'yo Din Pala," her response to onscreen partner and rumored boyfriend Daniel Padilla's "Na Sa'yo Na Ang Lahat."

Ito yung girl version," Kathryn said at the press conference on Tuesday, November 26.

Same beat

She added, "Yung beat niya almost the same, very catchy yung song."

"Na Sa'yo Din Pala" and "Na Sa'Yo ang Lahat" are composed by Jungee Marcelo.

Kathryn is happy that Daniel approves of her venture as a singer. Daniel first tried his hand in singing and has released two hit albums already and held successful concerts.

No to ‘puwede na’

Does she also have plans of holding a concert at the Big Dome, just like Daniel?

So kailangan ko ng time para magawa po iyon," she said.

Kathryn also covered Sharon Cuneta's signature hit song, "Mr. DJ"

Expecting bashers

Better known as an actress, Kathryn already expects bashers to diss her new stint as a singer.

Kathryn describes her music as "very young, sweet and relaxing." She admits feeling pressured, but she enjoys this new challenge more.

"When I was doing the album, doon ko na-realize na masaya din pala. Masaya pala gumawa ng album. I'm excited kasi ang dami kong first time na nasubukan with this album. Happy ako na marami akong nata-try na bago," she said.
