Katy Perry reveals slimming tricks

Katy Perry has revealed how she stays in shape.

The stunning singer is famed for her love of super short, figure-hugging dresses and flaunting her figure in a variety of PVC ensembles.

Katy has previously confessed to being a fan of fast food, with McDonald's chicken nuggets being her favourite indulgent snack.

The pop star explained she reigns in her naughty food cravings and adopts a strict diet when she has a big red carpet event she wants to look her best for.

"When I really need to whip my body into shape for a big performance or event, I cut out as much sugar, bread and pasta as I can and swap fizzy drinks and juices for water with a dash of lemon," Katy explained to British magazine Closer.

In order to maintain her shape whilst also allowing herself to munch her favourite foods, Katy explained that she follows an active lifestyle.

Along with cutting out fatty food, she also increases her exercise in the run up to the event.

"I try to exercise three to four times a week and, on days when I'm not working, I do a really fun activity like hiking," Katy continued. "I also love Soul Cycling, which is a spin class with high-energy coaching and fun, upbeat music."
