Just when you thought KC Concepcion’s daring “Rogue” magazine cover is her last in such state of uh – provocativeness –  she takes us by surprise again, this time with a string of calendar poses that would make any red-blooded male’s adrenaline levels shoot to high heavens once more.

The Mega Daughter went to the beach not only to soak up the sun.  KC bared more skin than usual as Tanduay Distillers’ calendar girl of 2013. Her open jacket and see-through body-hugging dress are meant to tease and please.

Considering that she survived a high-profile breakup, is there more to this openness than meets the eye?

“I’m not running away from anything,” KC states.  “Hindi ako malungkot dahil single ako.”

Her own woman

It’s more of an in-your-face proof that Sharon Cuneta’s eldest daughter is her own woman and has a better grip of herself.

“It shows another side of me.  I’m an independent girl who can put a cap on things without going overboard.  It’s about balance,” KC attests.

She’s mighty proud of the shots and is not afraid it will land her sexy roles she can get typecast in.

“When you’re female, mas maganda yung may openness, kahit konti lang,” KC explains.

Neither is she queasy being compared to another calendar girl for a rival liquor brand – Georgina Wilson.  Hers and Georgina’s respective careers, KC adds, run in different directions.

Georgina is into modeling, while KC’s world includes singing, dancing and acting.

The Sharon factor

KC admits during the presscon that her mom had yet to see the calendar.  But KC is confident Sharon won’t fly into a rage.

“Kung nakaya niya yung 'Rogue' na mas daring, kakayanin din niya ito,” KC relates.

Her father, Gabby Concepcion, on the other hand, supports Sharon’s decisions concerning her.

Up next for KC is a one-week trip to Nepal in connection with her mission as  United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) National Ambassador Against Hunger.

KC is still looking forward to doing  “Against All Odds,” the  ABS-CBN teleserye she is supposed to star in with Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby.

“May kaba pa ako,” she admits.  “Sana matuloy na rin itong soap kasi napaso na ako.  It’s a great project!”

As for Christmas, KC is not yet sure whether she’ll be in town or not to celebrate.

“Kailangan samahan name ang lolo at lola ko dito,” she explains.
