Kris Aquino denied reports that she’s seeking a political post in 2016.

“You all know what my priority is, yung mga anak ko,”  she told “The Buzz” guest Nora Aunor on Sunday, February 22.

Taking care of P-Noy

Kris adds that she wants to focus more on her fastfood franchise business, for which she is eyeing three more branches. Kris also wants to take care of her brother, President Benigno Aquino III, when he finishes his term in 2016.

“To create jobs for Filipinos, I think that’s my calling. Also para alagaan din ang kapatid ko. Kapag natapos ito, bata pa siya, 56. Siyempre di ba, I’m sure, let’s be honest, ang daming kaso na mangyayari sa 2016. Alam natin iyan. So kailangan niya ako, andoon ako. Family first.”

Work schedule adjustment

The award-winning TV host shared that she needs to spend more time with her sons Josh and Bimby. Kris added that she will adjust her work schedule so she can attend to her sons, especially when Bimby’s nanny leaves them to get married in September.

“Gerbel is getting married, yung yaya ni Bimb ikakasal sa September. The yaya was there with him from the start, siyempre wala kami ni James. So I promised him na for the entire adjustment period, I’m gonna be there,” Kris said.

The Kapamilya star knows it’s hard to juggle politics and family life, so she won’t  even try.  Instead of running for public office, Kris wants to be “the best mom” for Josh and Bimby.

“Politika requires someone who has no other responsibility but the responsibility to serve the constituents. I want to be the best mom I can be. And I cannot be the best mom that I can be if hahatiin ko.”
