Kris mum about her crush

Kris Aquino

Kris is usually vocal about many things. But this time, she chose to seal her lips regarding her crushes: a toss-up, so say her Twitter followers, between director Lino Cayetano and chef Jayps Anglo.

“I can be very open but sila ba open? This is the life I chose and my sons embraced this life because ito yung kabuhayan namin. But a person who just wants to get to know me, hindi. As much as possible talaga, hindi ko siya pag-uusapan kasi kawawa naman siya. Kung ang presidente nga kayang magkaroon ng private life, ako pa kaya?” she said at the press conference of the fourth season of “Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT)” on Wednesday, February 13.

Kris, who denied she is in a relationship with Lino or Jayps, admitted she’s been criticized over men being linked to her.

“Honestly, the truth (is) when I name anybody, I get a barrage of kanegahan about that person. Siyempre, I’m the only one who gets to read it. So, parang feeling ko, ang daming kontra sa kaligayahan, whoever it is, ha, na kung anu-ano (sinasabi), ‘Nakita kasama ni ganito, ganyan.”

Kris defended Lino from the negative comments she got about him.

“Si Direk Lino nabiktima din ng madaming tweets kaya huwag na please. Kawawa naman siya. Tumatakbo siya  (for congressman). He doesn't deserve that.”

Instead of letting negative comments bother her, Kris prefers to be“dedma” (nonplussed) about it.

“I’m not gonna tell anyone of you kasi ang concern ko lang naman talaga is makasundo ko siya, makasundo siya ni Josh at ni Bimbs, and later on makasundo rin siya ng mga kapatid ko,” she states.

Kris feels sorry for those being linked to her.

“Parang hinuhubaran ang buong pagkatao nila.True talaga and it’s not fair for somebody who didn’t ask for this life.”

‘Ayaw ko ng young’

What kept her from taking her friendship with Brazilian-Japanese actor Daniel Matsunaga to the next level?

“He’s really young. Ayaw ko na ng young,” she replied.

Kris refused to discuss former husband James Yap except to say that they’re not friends.

Last week, Kris tweeted about birthday blues (she was born on Valentine’s Day) and signing checks amounting to millions of pesos.

Many people think those checks are for James.

“Nag-emote lang talaga kasi mahirap talaga mag-sign ng mga papeles na ganoon. Anybody in that position, no matter how much you have, will identify where I’m coming from. Pero tapos na iyon,” she said.

Kris shared that she is going to Siargao with her sons and good friend Zsa Zsa Padilla for her birthday. Kris added that she’s not looking for a special someone since she doesn’t want to force love.

“Feeling ko sobrang love ang ibinibigay sa akin ng mga anak ko at pamilya ko. If it will come, it's a bonus na from God. Pero kung hindi siya darating, okay lang din.”

Kris will return as PGT host together with Ai-ai delas Alas, Freddie M. Garcia, Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford when the show starts airing on February 16.

Kris encourages everyone to vote for the contestant of his choice.

“Nasa manunuood and sa mga sasali sa kampanyang gagawin nila because it’s text voting. At the end of the day, hindi kami ang pipili ng champion. It’s up to them talaga. Every time you complain about the choices made, you made that choice. So you also have to pay for (the text vote) para manalo kung sino ang gusto n’yo.”
