'Law and Order' gets Spanish makeover
The crime shows "Law and Order" and "Law and Order: Los Angeles" are set to be broadcast in Spanish for the first time.
Latino channel NBC Universo will launch the long-running police and courtroom drama in Spanish starting July 6. "Law & Order: Los Angeles" will be aired in the language from July 7.
Created by Dick Wolf and starring Chris Noth, Jerry Orbach and Sam Waterson, Law & Order ran for 20 seasons on NBC, and has been nominated for the most consecutive Emmy Awards of any primetime drama series.
"For NBC Universo, it is a privilege to be able to reintroduce this intelligent and riveting series to a whole new Spanish-dominant U.S. audience," said Bilai Joa Silar, Senior Vice President, Programming & Production at the network.
