Lee Hi Continues Hold on No. 1 Ranks on Music Charts with ′1,2,3,4′

Lee Hi has been refusing to let go of her grip on the top spots of music charts for two weeks in a row, as she again managed to top the weekly charts this week with her debut single 1,2,3,4.

Since 1,2,3,4 was released on October 29, it has topped the weekly charts on Melon, Olleh, Mnet, Naver, Daum, Monkey 3 and more for two weeks.

She′s set a new record for 2012, as the single stayed on top of the daily charts for an unprecedented 16 days in a row.

1,2,3,4 shows off Lee Hi′s unique voice color and groovy vocals in a retro-soul genre. The singer has been showing strong results despite being a solo singer in the midst of a flood of rookie groups.

According to Gaon Chart′s download chart, Lee Hi′s 1,2,3,4 sold 670,000 downloads in a week, giving her sufficient reason to top the chart. She′s debuted as a monster rookie, coming close to the numbers for Psy′s Gangnam Style and Big Bang′s Blue, songs by seasoned big star singers.

Billboard also turned its attention to Lee Hi′s success, as she made it to the no. 1 spot on its K-Pop Hot 100 chart.
