Lee Min Ho's wax figure to be displayed at Madame Tussaud's Museum
Lee Min Ho will become a neighbor of world famous celebrities, and go on for a face-to-face battle of popularity.
On 24th, Lee Min Ho’s agency reported, “Lee Min Ho’s real size wax sculpture will be on display at Madame Tussaud's Museum Shanghai. Recently Madame Tussaud’s staff from the U.K. and China visited Korea to take Lee Min Ho’s measurements and discuss details, such as concept, pose and design.”
Madame Tussaud’s Museum is a world famous tourist destination, and there are 13 major city branches all over the world, including London, New York, Hong Kong, Hollywood and more. There are real-size wax figures of various famous people.
Some of the most representative ones are Queen Elizabeth, Barack Obama, Charlie Chaplin, Audrey Hepburn, Michael Jackson, David Beckham and more.
The reason why this event is more meaningful is because it means that Lee Min Ho's amazing popularity that equals to other prominent figures was internationally recognized.
A representative from Madame Tussaud’s said, “Before we create our wax figures, we conduct extensive research and surveys. We only select individuals who demonstrate potential in their activities, and those who receive a lot of love, interest and respect from the public. Lee Min Ho is not only the hottest actor in Korea, he is also the true leader of the Korean Wave."
He also said about why the exhibition place was chosen to Shanghai, "It's largely due to the 'Lee Min Ho Syndrome' i nthe region. We had countless requests from fans of other countries, but since one wax figure takes 6 months to make, we chose Shanghai as the place."
Every time Lee Min Ho visits China, fans gather to see him, causing major congestions, and all of his dramas grew immensely popular in the region. Madame Tussaud's are looking for a place that will bring the most effect, and decided Shanghai was the best candidate.
Lee Min Ho said, "I thought my face muscles were getting paralyzed."
On the other hand, Lee Min Ho is recently casting in SBS drama 'Faith', and getting a lot of high compliments for his amazing acting.
