Little Miss Philippines is back; finals set June 9

Aiza Seguerra, Camille Prats, Pauleen Luna and Jessa Zaragoza have one thing in common.  They are products of Eat Bulaga’s “Little Miss Philippines,” a kiddie talent search for girls  which recently made a  comeback due to popular public demand.

This year, 11 little girls representing Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and the Filipino Community in UAE (United Arab Emirates) will vie for the “Little Miss Philippines” title in the grand finals set Saturday, June 9.

The finalists are Donna Claire Galvez from Pasay City; Anika Jade Alday from Naga City; Yasmene Grace Arim from Cotabato City; Precious Angel Aceah Delda from Valenzuela City; Maria Francesca Rojas from Cebu City;  Regina Alexandria Hebron from Baliuag, Bulacan; Nicole Caroline Renopal from Davao City; Kailey Rose  Kemp from Iloilo City; Ryzza Mae Dizzon from Angeles City, Pampanga; Jenna Marie Niedens from Lanao del Sur and Jhie Ann Marie Crisostomo from Abu Dhabi.

The grand winner will bring home P100,000 worth of Pangkabuhayan Showcase from Puregold and P200,000 cash for her education needs from Eat Bulaga.  The first runner-up will get P50,000; the second runner-up,  P30,000; third runner-up, P25,000 and fourth runner-up, P20,000.

Special awards and their corresponding prizes are  Best in Gown – P5,000 plus sash and trophy; Little Miss Talent – P5,000 plus sash and trophy; Cutest Little Miss – P5,000 plus sash and trophy and Little Miss Vaseline and Vaseline Mom – P50,000 plus gift packs from Vaseline.

The Cutest Little Miss title will go to the girl whose photo has the most number of likes in the Eat Bulaga Facebook Page (www.eatbulaga.tv/EBdabarkads). Users can like the photos up to 11am of June 9.

The board of judges is composed of Michael V, Eugene Domingo, Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo (Vaseline Mom),  child psychologist Dr. Lillian Juadiong  and Rep. Lucy Torres-Gomez.

“Eat Bulaga” host Vic Sotto will have a special song number with the 11 grand finalists.

This year’s contest kicked off last April 12 and was timed on a summer break so as not to  interfere with the girls’ schooling.

The last Little Miss Philippines was held in 2007. There are plans to make “Little Miss Philippines” an annual event.
