Lindsay Lohan’s assistant Gavin Doyle has been subpoenaed to give his testimony at her upcoming car accident trial.
The 26-year-old actress’ probation on a jewellery theft case was formally revoked after she was arraigned on charges stemming from her June 8 car crash in Santa Monica, California. She was indicted for reckless driving, obstructing or resisting a police officer in the performance of his duty and giving false information to authorities.
At the time of the accident Lindsay told police her former assistant Gavin Doyle was behind the wheel, but he later clarified it was her.
TMZ reports that Gavin will testify at the forthcoming trial, as he has been called in as a witness by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s office.
The website reports that Lindsay will not take a plea-bargain as she is adamant that she was truthful with law enforcement officials.
Prosecutors are reportedly doing everything in their power to ensure the star goes to jail.
"Prosecutors are going after Lindsay with a vengeance because of her flagrant disregard for the law," a source told Radar Online recently.
"The LA City Attorney's office will present evidence to Commissioner Jane Godfrey that Lindsay has a long storied history of lying to cops. Prosecutors want Commissioner Godfrey to sentence Lindsay to 245 days behind bars for the probation violation."
The trial on this matter will commence March 18.© Cover Media
