In what’s becoming a yearly tradition, Ely Buendia, Raimund Marasigan, Buddy Zabala and Marcus Adoro are getting together and playing as the well-loved and dearly missed Eraserheads.

But only outside the Philippines.

This year (or, this early in the year), our local Fab Four are set to take London.

Tix cost as much as P8000

They’re due to play the Eventim Apollo on Friday, April 4. Formerly named the Hammersmith Odeon, it’s where The Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Bob Marley once played.

The venue has the capacity to seat 3,500 people and 5,000 standing guests. It just reopened around September 2013 after a ₤5 million renovation.

Tickets to the concert begin at ₤73.75 (nearly P5,500) to ₤108.5 (P8078).

Meet & greet fans in UK

The band is also scheduled to meet and greet their fans the day before at a Brazilian restaurant in London.

Session guitarist Sancho Sanchez will beef up the sound of Eheads in London. As before, some family members are accompanying the band on the trip.

Since they broke up in 2003, Eraserheads has played reunion concerts in Manila (2008, 2009), Canada and the US (2012) and Dubai and Singapore (2013).

As to the perennial question of when they plan to loop back to Manila for another go at a reunion, insiders say the same thing: “no plans as yet.”
