Lovi Poe admits current relationship with Rocco Nacino, past ties with Jake Cuenca
Kapuso actress Lovi Poe has finally confirmed that she is in a romantic relationship with fellow Kapuso star Rocco Nacino.
Lovi and Rocco, an Emerging Male Star nominee in the Yahoo Celebrity Awards, have long admitted their special friendship and admiration for each other, but were mum when asked about their real score in past interviews.
In an interview on StarTalk on Saturday, July 5, the “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real” star was initially reserved when she talked about their status.
“He’s special to me. Whatever you guys think about it, basta special sa akin.” Lovi said.
But after much prodding by host Lolit Solis, Lovi simply said, “Yeah.”
According to a separate report from “24 Oras” on Saturday, Lovi and Rocco have been a couple for two months already when they visited Paris during Holy Week. Rocco reportedly asked her to be her girlfriend when they went to the Eiffel Tower.
“He helps me out, small things. As simple as when I’m in a taping I can’t pick up my aunt sa airport, so he goes there. Simple things that matter,” Lovi said.
Prior their Paris trip, Lovi told reporters that she will probably know what their status would be during their trip together.
A year after she was romantically linked to Kapamilya actor Jake Cuenca, Lovi finally admitted that Jake was her former boyfriend.
“I was in a stage in my life before that I wasn’t able to give him the proper recognition,” she said.
Lovi’s close friend and Startalk host Heart Evangelista shared that Jake was a big part in Lovi’s life.
“Kasi andoon si Jake nung talagang kinailangan niya ng someone na maiintindihan ang sitwasyon niyua,. Noong umpisa, hindi sila masyadong seryoso. Then dumating sila sa point na talagang seryoso and mahal na mahal siya ni Jake. Inamin na rin ni Lovi kasi naging malaki rin ng buhay niya si Jake, binibigyan rin niya ng credit,” Heart said.
Other men who were romantically linked to Lovi before were Ronald Singson and Jolo Revilla. Lovi denied being shy to admit her past relationships before as she only wanted to keep her personal life private.
“No, of course not. I’m a very private person. It’s always been an issue naman for me. Ever since, hindi talaga ako nagsasalita especially when it comes to my personal life. So with my past relationships, naging issue talaga iyon. So I’m trying to change things if ever,” she said.
After Lovi’s revelation on Startalk, Lovi and Rocco posted photos of them together on Instagram. Lovi also thanked her followers who sent their well-wishes and congratulatory messages.
