Luis: No comment on Jennylyn-Patrick rift

Luis Manzano refuses to comment on the rift between girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado and her ex-boyfriend Patrick Garcia.

In an earlier interview, Patrick revealed that he and Jennylyn have a misunderstanding. Patrick added that Jennylyn is preventing him from seeing their son, Alex Jazz. However, Jennylyn denied Patrick’s statements.

While Luis supports Jennylyn, the Kapamilya TV host would rather keep distance when it comes to the Kapuso actress’ problems with her family.

“I cannot comment on their issue. It’s between Jen, Pat, Jazz, and the family. Hindi ko pwedeng panghimasukan yan,” Luis told members of the press at the launch of “Pilipinas Got Talent ” season four on Wednesday, February 14.

Rumors have it that Luis and Jennlyn are already living in.  But Luis said he cannot take Jennylyn away from her family.

“Paano mangyayari yun? Of course, Jen has to stay with Jazz. May pamilya naman si Jen. Parang napakahirap,” he said.

‘Happy on the path we’re on’

In fact, Luis said they haven’t even talked about marriage yet. “Not even a casual talk,” he added.

But nonetheless, the TV host added: “We’re happy on the path we’re on.”

Luis admits he and Jennylyn  don’t get to spend as much time as they want to due to their busy schedules.  Aside from “Pilipinas Got Talent,” Luis is hosting  “Minute To Win It.”  Jennylyn hosts “H.O.T. TV: and stars in “Indio. But this is a situation Luis and Jennylyn have to understand.

“Alam naman namin kung ano ang sitwasyon pag artista ang iyong minamahal, so respeto na lang sa oras ng isa’t isa,” he said.

Luis added: “I could never demand time from Jen in the same way na she could never demand time from me. Because I understand na if she commits to a project, she commits. In the same way na if I commit to a project, I commit.”

What do Luis and Jennylyn do when they’re together? “Literally  nanonood lang kami ng TV na magkatabi, okay na kami dun.”

And yet, Luis wouldn’t want to work with Jennylyn in a long-term project.

“Ayoko kasing mapaglaruan,” he reasoned out.

“We try to keep it private as it is,” he added.

“Pilipinas Got Talent” season four premieres Saturday, February 16.
