Go luxe

If December is the time for giving, November is surely the month for a last blast of self-indulgence before the festivities.

And if you fancy treating yourself with some gorgeous beauty buys, celebrity make-up artist Jackie Tyson has some advice – go luxe!

“During the colder winter months it’s worth investing in some extra special skincare products to protect against the ageing damage to your skin caused by the more extreme temperatures,” Jackie told Cover Media.

Here are Jackie’s top tips for luxurious luminosity.

Skin

I like to ramp up my winter skincare regime with my favourite products from Sisley. All Day All Year Soin Essentiel De Jour is a gorgeously light day cream with apple skin extract to protect collagen and elastin fibres, and white willow extract to stimulate the production of natural anti-stress proteins.

At night I use Supremÿa La Nuit which is a super-rich moisturising cream that will beautify you as you sleep.

Base

Suqqu Foundation is a brilliantly luxe base, which gives a very expensive look to your skin. It is rich and creamy and leaves the skin totally flawless. Next give your face the ultimate contour with Shade and Illuminate by Tom Ford. It makes you look extremely chiselled and dewy at the same time.

Eyes

Taupe Brown, Dark Sable and Midnight Black are three gorgeous Burberry eyeshadow hues. Blend these tonal shades and you’ll be sure to smoulder in a luxurious way. The best thing about these shadows is that they’re richly pigmented and blend easily to contour and define your eyes.

Lips

Finish your exclusive face with Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lipcolour In La Sumpteuese. Totally luxurious.

Beyonce’s #Flawless image is embroiled in controversy once again. On Wednesday, a web site called The Beyonce World leaked 224 allegedly raw photos of the musician. The images showed Bey in full makeup for the 2013 L’Oreal ad campaign — but with the kinds of “imperfections” we all have — beauty marks, bumps, creases. In the wake of Cindy Crawford’s unretouched photos, the images have been praised by critics of a beauty industry that sets impossibly high standards, standards that Queen Bey …
