Marisa Tomei joins 'Empire'
Fox has signed up Oscar-winning actress Marisa Tomei to the cast list of its show "Empire".
The star is set to join Alicia Keys, Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz and Adam Rodriguez on season 2 of the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
She will play the character of Mimi Whiteman, a hip-hop loving venture capitalist.
Tomei, who won an Oscar for her role in "My Cousin Vinny," has previously appeared in the TV show "Rescue Me".
Season 2 of Empire, which started filming last month, is expected to air on September 23.
