Marvin happy with Jolina-Mark engagement
Marvin Agustin shared that he's happy for former screen partner Jolina Magdangal and her upcoming wedding with Rivermaya drummer Mark Escueta.
“Alam naman natin how happy she is right now, kung gaano talaga kabait si Mark. They're settled already. Kaya, para makakita ka ng ganyang pares e ipagdarasal mo na maging habang-buhay,” he said in an interview with GMA-7's “Unang Hirit” last August 2.
Marvin and Jolina were screen partners when they were both still with ABS-CBN. After transferring to GMA, they reunited in television projects such as “I Luv NY” and “Adik Sa'Yo.”
Two years after their last show together, the two will work together again in GMA 7’s upcoming show “Iglot.”
“Iglot” will also see Marvin working with Claudine Barreto, another former Kapamilya artist.
“For the longest time, magkasama kami (ni Claudine) sa kabilang channel. Pero dito lang kami makakagawa ng soap opera. So dito lang talaga yung may interaction kami, magiging mag-asawa pa kami (sa show),” he shared.
Jolina's honeymoon destination
Meanwhile, Jolina revealed that she and Mark have not yet decided on a wedding date.
“Meron pa rin kasi akong iba pang inaayos-ayos, so hindi pa talaga naman napagdedesisyunan kung anong date. Pero gusto talaga namin this year,” Jolina told “Startalk TX” in a recent taped interview.
She added, however, that they’re already considering a honeymoon destination : Alaska.
“Kasi gusto namin makita ang northern lights,” Jolina shared.
The northern light is the natural light display seen in the Arctic and Antarctic regions.
Jolina will first work on “Iglot” before the wedding.
“Nung unang sinabi ito sa akin na may project nga na 'Iglot' and ang mga kasama ko dito ay sina Claudine, si Marvin, si Luis (Alandy), si Patrick (Garcia), parang may mga flashback na nangyayari sa ibang atmosphere. Pero, ang mas na-excite ako dito, kaibigan ko silang lahat kaya, sabi ko, ano ito, kwelo ito,” she told “Startalk.”
“Iglot” will premiere this month.
